The monks and nuns of Rumtek Monasteryas well as the manager of the 17th Karmapa Thinle Taye Dorje has sent this message to Dalai Lama in May 2011, asking for his support to their claims and aspirations

Click on the titels for viewing them) The information in this letter about Tenga Rinpoche is not correct. After 1974, he travelled with Karmapa to Europe and USA in support. After the demise of the 16. Karmapa, Tenga Rinpoche came to Rumtek for the pujas. There do not seem to be any connection between Tenga Rinpoche and a petty theft of a small amount of money commited by the mentioned monk in the letter. It is strange that some monks and nuns from Rumtek would smear Tenga Rinpoche in this way.
